To All the Boys I've Loved Before
This book is a great example of a realistic yet hopeful young adult book. From the very beginning it draws you in and it has you hanging on to the very last words. This book is about a teenage girl, Lara Jean who lives with her single father and two sisters. Her older sister, Margot is heading off to college and Lara Jean has some big shoes to fill. Right before Margot leaves she breaks up with Josh, her boyfriend who is also the guy Lara Jean used to love. Suddenly, after Margot leaves, Lara Jean loses her precious hat box. In the box were letters to all the boys that she had ever loved. She thought that maybe she had misplaced them until Peter, one of her good friends from middle school, comes up to her and asks about the letter she wrote him. She then realizes the letters were mailed and throughout the rest of the book she deals with the repercussions of the letters getting out, while figuring out the mess of a, "love life," she has.
In all, this book was very well written and I can not wait until the sequel comes out. There needs to be way more books like this written.
